ADP: the Number of jobs in the US private sector in August increased by 177 thousand



The number of jobs in the private sector of the United States, according to a report by Automatic Data Processing (ADP) in August rose by 177 thousand with a seasonally adjusted basis compared with the forecast of an increase of 174 thousand

In July, the number of jobs in the U.S. private sector increased by 194 thousand, revised from 179 thousand

The number of jobs in small businesses (1 – 49 employees) in August increased by 63 thousand, medium-sized businesses (50 – 499 employees) by 44 thousand, in large companies (500 employees) – 70 thousand

The ADP report does not include an estimate of the number of jobs in the public sector of the United States.

Employment data from ADP, the company is often viewed as a leading indicator of the official report on the US labor market (Non-farm payrolls, NFP), scheduled for publication on Friday, September 2.

Analysts predict a rise in the number of jobs outside the US agricultural sector (NFP) in August 186 thousand after increasing by 255 thousand a month earlier.

The unemployment rate in the United States, according to the consensus forecast declined from 4.9% to 4.8%.
