Georgy Luntovsky elected President of the “Association of banks of Russia”



Georgy Luntovsky, the Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, elected President of Association of regional banks of Russia. About it reports TASS.

In addition, new members elected to the Board of the Association, which included 40 people, including the head of VTB Andrey Kostin, the head of Sberbank German Gref and the head of Vnesheconombank Sergey Gorkov.

The participants of the meeting decided to change the name of the organization – now it will be called “the Association of banks of Russia” (Association “Russia”).

For reference: Georgy Luntovsky has decided to leave the post of the first Deputy Chairman of Bank of Russia from September 1 on their own. He worked at the Bank from 1999: from 1999 to 2005 in the positions of Deputy Chairman, since 2005 – first Deputy Chairman. In this post Luntovsky was in charge of the circulation of money, the work of the Russian Association of collection, the activities of the territorial institutions of the Bank, personnel policy and other issues.

In 1991-1992 Luntovsky, head of the Board “Veroniquevraak”, in 1992-1996 he was the General Director of joint-stock commercial Bank “Voronezh”. In 1996-1999 he was a Deputy of the state Duma, was a member of the state Duma Committee on budget, taxes, banks and Finance.
