Industrial production in Italy rose for the fourth consecutive month in August



Industrial production in Italy increased for a fourth straight month in August, according to data from the statistical office Istat said on Tuesday.

Industrial production rose a seasonally adjusted 1.2% compared to the previous month in August, which was higher than the growth of 0.1% in July. It was expected that the growth will be stable at 0.1%.

In annual terms, growth in industrial production adjusted for calendar data in August increased to 5.7% from 4.6% in the previous month.

During the first eight months of the year, total industrial production increased by 2.9% compared to the same period in 2016.
