Russian antivirus company “Kaspersky Lab” announced the new target of the cyber attack on Russian banks called Silence. It is reported TASS with reference to the press service of the company.
“Experts “Kaspersky Lab” has detected a new targeted attack on financial institutions in Russia, Armenia and Malaysia,” the statement reads.
The company notes that the first wave of attacks began in July 2017, the new attacks now. The criminals send out phishing emails with malicious attachments, using the infrastructure already infected institutions. Often these emails look just like a standard request of employee for account opening and does not cause suspicion.
