According to a report by the National Association of realtors, US pending home sales on the secondary real estate market of the United States (signed but pending contracts for the purchase of housing) in September, unchanged compared with the revised downward the value of August and amounted to 106.0 points.
Analysts predicted increase on September’s figure of 0.2%.
Compared to September last year, the index declined by 3.5%, reaching its lowest level since January 2015.
The time lag between the signing of a contract for the sale of the house and execution of the transaction is usually between one to two months. Thus, all contracts for the sale of houses, signed in September, will be executed (in the case of confirmation of payment) in the next four to eight weeks.
