Personal income of American consumers rose in may by 0.4%, expenditure increased by 0.1%



According to the report of the Bureau of economic analysis U.S. Department of Commerce, personal income of American consumers rose in may by 0.4% compared with the previous month, after rising 0.3% in April (revised from +0.4%).

Analysts predicted the growth of consumer incomes in may by 0.3%.

Real disposable income rose 0.5%.

Personal spending by American consumers rose in may by 0.1% compared with the previous month, after expanding 0.4% in April.

Analysts had expected a rise in consumer spending in may by 0.1%.

The savings rate was 5.5%.
