The final data published by the Statistical office of Portugal, showed that in the 2nd quarter, the economy expanded slightly more than initially thought.
Gross domestic product grew 0.3 percent in real terms, instead of increasing by 0.2 percent previously reported. Domestic demand added 0.2 percentage points to overall GDP growth. Similarly, net foreign demand also showed positive dynamics, which contributed to more intensive growth of exports of goods and services than it imports.
In addition, it became known, on an annual basis, economic growth remained stable in the 2nd quarter at 0.9 percent. The originally reported expansion of 0.8 percent.
