The Central Bank introduced new banknotes in denomination of 200 and 2000 rubles. About it informs TASS.

New banknotes will go into circulation until the end of 2017.

“From today, the banknote will enter into circulation. First in October the new banknotes will have the regions that they depict – far East, Crimea and Moscow, – said the Chairman of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina at the press conference in TASS. – We expect that the massive input of banknotes will begin in December, when banks and trade enterprises will complete the training.”

According to Nabiullina, today ATMs and POS equipment that was tested on the samples will be configured to use the living new notes, it will take some time.
