The net outflow of capital from Russia in January-July rose to $13.1 billion




Net capital exports by the private sector in January-July of 2017, according to preliminary estimates of the Bank of Russia reached $13.1 billion versus $8.8 billion in January-July of 2016.

“The main source of export of capital was made by the banking sector which, while maintaining the amount of repayment of external liabilities at the level of the comparable period last year, at the same time placed funds abroad. At the same time, other sectors, in contrast to last year, were net importers of capital, moving from increase in the external assets to clean funds of non-residents”, – stated in the materials of the regulator.
