The net outflow of capital from Russia in January-may grew to $22.4 billion




Since the beginning of the year net export of capital from the private sector, according to preliminary data of the Central Bank, rose to $22.4 billion versus $10.3 billion a year earlier. “A decisive influence on the trend of this indicator has had a transaction of the first quarter of 2017, in April-may, net capital outflow has slowed down”, – stated in the materials of the regulator.

In the structure of net export of capital, unlike previous years, was dominated by the operations of the banking sector for the deployment of foreign assets and repayment of external liabilities. Other sectors, attracting funds into the economy, by contrast, provided a net import of capital.
