The net outflow of capital from Russia in January-September grew to $21 billion

Net capital exports by the private sector, according to preliminary estimates of the Bank of Russia, in January-September of 2017 reached $21,0 billion versus $10.0 billion in January-September 2016.

“In contrast to the situation in the corresponding period last year, net capital outflow was generated due to the operations of the banking sector, which significantly reduced external liabilities.
