The number of initial claims for unemployment benefits in the U.S. last week rose by 11 thousand



According to a report by the U.S. Department of labor, the number of initial claims for unemployment benefits in the U.S. for the week ended January 6 rose by 11 thousand compared to the previous week and amounted to 261 thousand

Analysts had expected the index will be 246 thousand compared to 250 thousand at the end of the previous week.
