The number of initial claims for unemployment benefits in the U.S. last week rose by 3 thousand



According to a report by the U.S. Department of labor, the number of initial claims for unemployment benefits in the U.S. for the week ended August 5, increased by 3 thousand compared with the previous week and amounted to 244 thousand

Analysts had expected the headline number will be 240 thousand, unchanged compared to the originally announced value of the previous week.
