The price index for residential property in the US the S&P/Case-Shiller Composite-20 in August increased by 5.9% in annual terms



The combined index of housing prices S&P/Case-Shiller, calculated for the 20 largest U.S. cities rose in August by 0.5% compared to the previous month seasonally adjusted, an increase of 5.9% compared to the same period in 2016.

Analysts predicted increase at an annual rate of 5.8%.

The aggregate price index for housing calculated for the 10 largest U.S. cities in August rose 0.5 percent from the previous month with seasonally adjusted and increased by 5.3% in annual terms.

A nationwide index of housing prices S&P/Case-Shiller in August compared with the previous month increased by 0.5% seasonally adjusted and increased by 6.1% compared to the same period in 2016.
