The producer price index the UK in January at the input increased by 0.7% and output increased by 0.1%



According to the National statistical service of great Britain (ONS), the producer price index the UK input (PPI Input) in January increased by 0.7% compared with the previous month, after rising 0.6% in December (revised from +0.1%).

Analysts had forecast growth in January increased by 0.7%.

In annual terms, the PPI Input rose by 4.7%.

The producer price index of UK output (PPI Output) in January increased by 0.1% after rising 0.4% in December.

Analysts had forecast a January increase of 0.2%.

On a yearly basis, PPI Output rose by 2.8%.
