The volume of trading in bonds in January increased by 2 times – up to 1.4 trillion rubles




The volume of trades on corporate, regional and government bonds in January 2018 was 1 445,6 billion against 711,4 billion rubles in January 2017. The average daily trading volume came to 72.3 billion (33.9 billion rubles in January 2017), according to a press release of the Moscow Exchange.

In January, the stock market of the Moscow exchange placed 24 bonded loan placement volume totaled 1 of 175.6 billion (including the volume of one-day bonds totaled 586,1 billion).

Trading volume on the stock market in January 2018 rose by 55.5% and reached 2 268,7 billion rubles compared to 1 459,3 billion rubles in January 2017 (here and below excluding one-day bonds).

The trading volume in shares, Depositary receipts and shares increased by 10.1% and amounted to 823,1 billion (747,8 billion rubles in January 2017). The average daily trading volume was 41.2 billion (35.6 billion rubles in January 2017).

Trading volume on the derivatives market in January 2018 amounted to 5.4 trillion rubles (7,0 trillion rubles in January 2017) or 92,0 million contracts (122,5 million contracts in January 2017). The trading volume of futures contracts made 86.2 million contracts, option contracts and 5.8 million contracts.

The volume of open positions on the derivatives market at the end of the month reached 922,7 billion (740,2 billion rubles in January 2017).

The volume of trading in the foreign exchange market rose 5.9% to 25.3 trillion rubles (23,9 trillion rubles in January 2017), including a cash settlement (spot) to 5.2 trillion rubles, swap and forwards to 20.1 trillion roubles.

The average daily trading volume on the currency market of the Moscow exchange amounted to 1 264,0 billion, or 22.4 billion U.S. dollars, compared with 1 of 139.5 billion rubles in January 2017.

Trading volume on the money market amounted to 24.2 trillion (26.0 trillion rubles in January 2017), the average daily volume of transactions – 1 208,4 billion (1 239,0 billion rubles in January 2017).

The volume of trading in the modes repo with the Central counterparty (CC) amounted to 14.5 trillion rubles ($15,1 trillion rubles in January 2017).

The volume of trading in precious metals in January 2018 amounted to 6.9 billion (4.7 billion rubles in January 2017). Including the volume of trading gold and 6.9 billion (2.8 t), silver – 46,6 million roubles (1.5 t).

The total trading volume of agricultural products (grain, sugar) in January amounted to 1.1 billion rubles.
