Unemployment in Germany declined more than expected in August



Unemployment in Germany declined more than expected in August, reported the Federal labor Agency on Wednesday.

The number of people without work declined by 7,000 in August from July. Economists had forecast a decline of 5,000 people.

At the same time, the unemployment rate remained steady at 6.1 percent in August. The result was in line with expectations. It was the lowest rate since the reunification of Germany.
